America is boiling after Gayle King spoke about Kobe Bryant rape case

There is plenty of controversy across America at the moment after Gayle King made an inquiry into Kobe Bryant rape case, which has triggered a series of death threats from the late basket-baller’s fans.

Even her best friend Oprah Winfrey was forced to bring up the issue.

While speaking on the show “Today” with Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager, Oprah got emotional when she spoke about the backlash against her BFF, Gayle King, over the recent interview.

“She is not doing well,” Winfrey said as she teared up. “She is not doing well because she now has death threats and has to now travel with security. She is feeling very much attacked.”

King has been majorly criticized for asking former basketball player Lisa Leslie about rape allegations made against the late NBA star Kobe Bryant, CNN reports.
CBS released an excerpt to promote King’s interview with Leslie. The clip, distributed online and on CBS News’ social media accounts, focused on a portion of the interview where Leslie addressed a Colorado sexual assault case that had been brought against Bryant and dismissed.
In the clip, King asks Leslie whether the 2003 case made Bryant’s legacy complicated for her. Leslie said that it did not.
Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna were part of a group of nine people who were killed last month in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California.
