Juventus President speaks on Cristiano Ronaldo future after Champions League heartbreak

Two best clubs the Old Lady and Real Madrid were sent packing as the UEFA Champions League returned. The Friday Champions League matches were the first since March due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Juventus were knocked out of the Champions League by French Side Lyon, in a dramatic game that ended 2-1 in favor of Juventus. The First Leg in France saw Lyon thrash Juventus one goal to nil, the total aggregate was 2-2 making Lyon proceed to the quarters, due to the away goal rule.

Maurizio Sarri’s side came into the Friday match confident knowing that they will be able to thrash Lyon and qualifying for the Champions League quarter-final. They were quick to forget that if Lyon strikes a goal then they will be forced to score three goals in order to qualify.

Juventus and Portugal Skipper Cristiano Ronaldo gave his all and scored two goals including one penalty after Lyon strike Memphis Depay handled the ball inside the 18. The two goals from Ronaldo didn’t help them qualify for the next round.

Prior to the Friday night Match, Cristiano Ronaldo has been linked with a move to the French Champions Paris Saint Germain. This comes two years after leaving the Spanish champions Real Madrid.

The Paris Saint Germain will have a huge problem if they sign Ronaldo reason being, they have to most expensive players in the World that is Kylian Mbappe and Neymar. So they will have to offload one player most probable Neymar who wants to return to Camp Nou.

According to Juventus President Andrea Agnelli is that Cristiano Ronaldo is going nowhere. Speaking to Sky Sports Italia, he went ahead to add that he will stay in Turin and he will be playing in the next season. “He’s going to stay with us. I’m sure that he’ll play for Juventus also on next season.”
